Tobin graduated from Ripon College in 1982 with a Bachelor's degree, majoring in Economics.  Tobin also completed the insurance education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors receiving the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).  In 1993 he joined The Diedrich Agency and in 2003 he became a partner with John and Drew Diedrich.   Tobin became Vice President in 2004.
